I was a new customer after starting as a Pastor position in the city of Louisville, and had depostied my pay from the church along with my wifes pay check from Ky. State Govt.
The next day I went in to withdraw funds to pay bills, I was told I could only get 100.00 dollars, I then said that was odd both checks being local and one a Government payroll.
I was then given 21 questions if my wifes name was on my account, to which mt response was: you are awfully late in trying to investigate the legitmatcy of a transaction when you all accepted the deposit without any question? Well when I asked where was our money I was told the up to five day scenerio, to which I become righteously indignant!
After also finding out through their glorious on line bill pay system (my first time using it) my car not I scheduled to be paid was cancelled! With out going over the edge I tried to explain, I needed to pay my bills; after going back and forth with a bank manager. I was treated like: We have your money, there's nothing you can do so you need to leave the bank.
After which my anger started to show, because I wanted better explanation. First I was told the Banks Security Dept. Would call me to explain, then I was told if I did not leave the police were going to be called. I then told them "I'm not trying to rob you, but get our monies to pay bills. Being an African American male I felt prehistorically enslaved for that moment, and very humiliated. I guess not only do they attempt to rip people off, rip you off of your freedom as a customer to voice your complaint; and if you are a black male you might go to jail
