AOL Credit Alert
Rip-off! AOL Credit Alert took money from my account even after I told them I didn't want their services. Nationwide

In 2002 I signed up for AOL services. I was immediately inundated with offers on AOL. One in particular was Credit Alert. They contacted me with all the wonderful things they were going to do for me. I told them I had absolutely no need for their services, and was not the least bit interested.

Of course, the offered me a free trial period and I told them there was no reason to give me a free trial period because I simply had no need for the service. The following month (June), my bank account was hit for $79.99. I then called AOL (Their name was used for the transaction). They said they knew nothing about it and were sure they had nothing to do with it.

I simply couldn't find out who hit me. Then again in 2003.in 2004 I got a letter from Credit alert that they were going to take the annual $79.99 payment from my checking account. I called them & said I didn't want their services and they said OK. But they still took the money from my account.
