Complaint / Review
AOL Credit Alert Company
Is a ripoff.internet, Worldwide

Started my Aol Service January 4th since then its been alot of headaches. We received a free trial of Credit Alert when we initially signed on. Before expiration of free trial I called in requesting the cancellation of any further memberships. At that time they apologized but that no accounts found under my name nor my husband (credit card holder.

When we returned from vacation on February 11 I noticed charges on my statement my online. Never authorized them so I called. I was told that again no accounts, but then corrected and was told 1 in my name and 1 in my husbands name (Tony Davis). I advised that 1st my husband never ever uses computer, 2nd that I never requested nor authorized. Since then I have had a total of $765.66 taken from our Mastercard Debit Card.

To date I have only been able to get $295.97 of that amount. I have been struggling with these people for my money. On May 9th another charge for Credit Alert for $79.99 was again taken for 1 year memebership that they have taken at least 4-5 times. This means that if I did want such membership I should be paid through the next 5 years, but all paid within 2-3 months.

Speaking with supervisor Charles at Credit Alert who was not kind at all with my losses stated that maybe because of all my anger that he was transfering me and then I got the President so called extension Voice mail, sure I left message.
