Firstly, I would NEVER have used this company if I had read the online reviews about it first. I was in a rush and had to move next-day, saw the price and, in desperation to sort something out, booked with them. The van turned up the next day 3 hours late with no explaination as to why until I called them. As other people have said, no compensation offered for this and the full price was taken from my bank account. They "let me off" paying for the fuel used, however, the van had only travelled 15 miles max. I then read all the online reviews about the lack of deposit and panicked. I phoned them and was told the money would be in my account within a few days. A day later it wasn't in there yet and I wrote a letter stating my legal rights and my intent to use them if the money wasn't in my account when they said it would be. This morning the £500 deposit is back in there, and I don't know if they received my letter or not yet (maybe not though, I only sent it yesterday afternoon). So, there's a possibility here that the company did pay me back when they said they would, in which case, I feel lucky. Maybe it was because I told them on the phone I would pursue legal action under COntract Law if they didn't comply, who knows? Suffice to say, to save worry and time (and for better customer service in future) I will not be using the company again.
