I hired a van from this company in July and on July 10th was charged £259.18 plus a £500.00 deposit despite having sent them the necessary documents to avoid paying a deposit. The van was returned to them on time, undamaged an with the correct amount of fuel yet the deposit wasn't refunded.
I phoned them twice in an attempt to get the deposit refunded but instead they charged a further £759.18 to my credit card. I phoned again and was told to email them with details of the problem and my bank detailsso that the money could be refunded to my account, this I did.
No refund was forthcoming so I phoned again. They confirmed receipt of my email and said it would be dealt with on that day.
I have since received a refund for the initial £500 deposit but not for the duplicate charge so I phoned them again on August 15th and asked to speak to a manager. I was left on hold for nearly 15 minutes before being cut off.
I have now disputed the transaction on my credit card but it could take quite a while before this is finally sorted out.
