Same story like all the others received a sears card and I had to call Account Care to active the card. So I was told that loss of job and the Sear bills balance were covered. Well they took out over $50 dollars a month and once I got laid off I filled a claim only to be told I didn't work 40 hours. I called them up and said yeah I did. I average over 60 hours a week now pay my bills. Then I was told temp work is not covered. Really hmm, no letter or telephone call states what type of work you need to do to qualify for the coverage. (seasonal, temp, contractor. Is ALL covered). So I disputed it and filled out a form and mailed it in that was over 60 days ago, have not heard anything back from this company. I receive over 24 calls a day from Sears wondering when they are getting paid. So I tell them where is Account Care and why haven't they called you. So when I did talk to Account Care over 3 times I get 1 of 3 response we are reviewing your claim. You had to work over 30 hours (60 hours is more than 30 hours) and finally the best one is your work does not qualify? So I ask for a copy of the terms where the type of employment is outline in the terms. (Which there is none. I have dated letters from the company stating: laid off file a claim and your balance is zero.) Or a copy of the phone conversation stating that the representative stating when opening the account that you have to work at this type of company and work these many hours. You can NOT change the terms unless you notify the consumers.
So I decided to do the research on the internet and this is not legal what they are doing. Will somebody start a class action lawsuit against this company. The BBB and State Attorney office will be notified.
If you are thinking of this service. DO NOT Sears can not even get a straight answer and Account Care is there company! This is a SCAM!!!
