I too have bad credit and thought this total card would be a great way to start to rebuild. They sent me card with $250 limit (all fees). I made the $25 minimun payment early.
I noticed they charged me $10 worth of fees for my next payment. The more I thought about this the more I decided I would save for a secured card and decided to close the account. I closed it 44 days after they opened the card.
I called on the 14th to close it. They told me it would take 48 hours to see the account closed and since I made a payment I would get $19 dollars of it back. I kept checking.
Finally, on the 21st, it was closed. They charged me $6 for the moth of June, $6 for the month of July and $3.91 for finance charge... I never used the card... I lost $15.91. Lesson learned.
Check into things before I request them or pay money for them. Yes, rebuilding credit is important and yes, I realze I am paying for the bad money management of my past but when you live on a fixed budget giving money away just to say I have a piece of plastic just doesn't seem wise. Hope this helps others.
