I am a struggling college student attempting to resolve an overdue credit card account that ended up with Triadvantage Credit Services aka Alliance One on a very, very small budget. I set up a monthly payment plan with them wherein my payments are automatically withdrawn from my checking account every month. I had paid over half my balance when, last month, I became unable to make my full payment due to some severe circumstances including unemployment and the recent death of my boyfriend and the terminal illness of my father. I tried to explain my situation to a representative calling himself "Nasser". He refused to accept a smaller payment that month. I then told him that I could not and would not make that month's payment. My dad died two weeks later. A day after his death I discovered that I had only a couple of dollars in my bank account because Triadvantage had withdrawn my monthly payment after I expressly told them I could not afford and did not authorize that month's payment. This left me with not even enough money for food or a bus ticket to ATTEND MY FATHER'S FUNERAL. When I called Nasser at Triadvantage he claimed it was a mistake but refused to correct it, apologize or discuss it with me. He said a supervisor would contact me, but so far no one has.
