Bank of America
Ripped Off / Flood Insurance

I got a letter that I had to have flood insurance or prove I did not. I sent them a LOMA letter 4 times, fax, snail mail and email. This is the official FEMA letter stating a property is not in a flood zone. I called and was recorded many times. They kept saying they did not get it. When I got an email receipt they then told me that the letter was "too old." By then they had charged me $2500 for insurance that cost $350. Once I gave in and bought insurance, they refused to refund me all of the money claiming they had covered me for a short time and the cost was $450. Worst of all, I wrote to everyone, the Board, the CEO of both BofA and the mortgage company. I sent reams of proof. No one responded for months and when someone finally did they said they could not help! Apparently they would rather lose a savings, checking, credit card and mortgage of many years in good standing than right the wrong they have done. Hello Chase, can you spell customer?
