Hello everyone that has been screwed over by Sallie Mae. As we all know, Sallie Mae is an evil company and I have been doing everything to make sure that all of my friends no longer have Sallie Mae as a holder of their loan. What you need to do is see if you are eligible for loan consolidation through the William D. Ford Direct Loans, which is basically the federal government. Here is the website: https://www.dl. Ed. There is an online form to fill out and it takes about 30 days to go through (at least that what it took for me). Once it goes through, no more Sallie Mae and them hanging up on you. I hope this helps many of you. If not, there are plenty of private loan consolidation companies out there that are better than Sallie Mae, you just have to do some research.By the way, Sallie Mae is not run by the government, it is a private company that guarantees student loans through financial aid. Basically the government couldn't afford to give this much money out in loans so they opened it up to private companies allowing more money to be lent out and giving many of us an opportunity to attend college. Unfortunately, Sallie Mae banks on the fact that many of us are/were not up to speed on how financial aid loans work so they are screwing over a lot of people.
