Sallie Mae should be charging 0.75% interest (the discount rate that the feds get) instead of 10%. They are feeding off of students that had trouble paying for school in the first place. We bailed out the auto industry; we bailed out the banks; we fought in wars; we are taxed out of every orifice in our bodies. The student loan bubble will burst and tax payers will be responsible—not Sallie Mae. Kids are committing suicide over their loans that they can’t pay back because Sallie Mae keeps keeps jerking them around. Think about it!
