After paying $67 a month for credit card processing equipment to a totalling over $3,000, Leasecomm now sends me letter that I need to send $300 more to terminate lease.
These charges they claim are fair market value on equipment. This particular model has been discontinued for some time and is not being sold by company who makes them. So where do they get a fair market value.
Checking on websites like Ebay, one can find dozens of used machines with same model as mine being sold for less than $100. Very few ever sell.
The initial contract did not state a buy out price. The person who came to my business with contracts and information told me that once the contract was over, I would own the equipment with no other fee or payment.
After numerous calls to them of which only a voice mail answered, was able to talk to someone who informed me unfortunately you either pay or we persue this matter with credit bureaus.
He also said that my equipment was still beign used and sold. Something that is a complete lie, as the company that makes the equipment has verified to me, they no longer make or sell this machine.
I told them I intend to persue this legally, they have not called me back but have sent me a copy of contract I signed which is different from copy I have. It shows a copy of my signature but is not the same as my signed copy. That is serious.
It means the three part carbonless copy I signed had different versions on the bottom copies. That is something for a Federal Investigation.
I have been defrauded by this company and will legally persue this matter. Have already filed a complaint with FTC and Florida and Massachussetts Better Business Bureau.
Any other help you can give me is greatly appreciated. If there is a class action suit going, please let me know.
