AKA Prime One Benefits I was ripped off for $374.00

This is a chronological account of what happened.

12/22/03: I was called by Tina. 416-542-1611 ext 284 I was told that for a one time payment of $187 I would receive a non-secured credit card with a $2500 limit. Tina gave me a pin #4817. I was told that the card would be here by 01/05/04. I would not be billed the $187 until 01/12/04. This way I could get a cash advance on the card to pay for the processing fee.

01/06/04: My checking account was debited $187.00 by First National

01/29/04: I called and spoke with Marilyn. I was told card would be here by next week.

02/16/04: I received a package from Prime One. No Credit Card. Package contained coupons and a booklet on how to repair credit.

02/17/04: I called and spoke with Charlene. I was told that the card would be here by the end of next week.

03/01/04: I called and spoke with Frank. I was told that I had to fill out and send an application that had come with the package. I would receive the card within 10 to 15 working days from their receipt of the application.

03/01/04: I found the application, filled it out and mailed it.

03/08/04: My account was debited $187.00

03/09/04: I was called and told that my account had inadvertently been charged again due to a computer error and the charge would be removed before the end of the day.

03/15/04: No card, no credits. I called and spoke with Dorothy. I was told that I would receive the card in two days. My account would be credited $187 by Wednesday.

03/17/04: No card. No $187. I received in the mail an application for a secured credit card and asking for a $250 deposit.

03/17/04: I called and spoke to Marlene and asked to cancel the account since I had not yet received what I had paid for. I was told that she could not do that. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that a supervisor would call me back. They now owe me $374.00

03/19/04: No credits to my account. I called and asked to speak with a Supervisor. I was told that none were available and that one would call me back.

03/22/04: No credits to my account. Still no call from a Supervisor. I asked again for a Supervisor and was told that they were not available and that one would get back to me.

3/24/04: No credits to my account. I called again and asked about the credits and was told that company policy was not to give refunds. I again asked for a supervisor and received the same runaround. I was told that if I called between 8am and 6pm Eastern time I might be able to talk to a supervisor.

04/05/04: No credits yet. I called and spoke with Steven. I asked about the second debit of $187 and was told that they are working on it. I asked about the refund of the first $187 and was told that the company does not give refunds after they have processed the card request. I explained that I had never received a card. I was told that it had been processed, therefore, no refund. I asked for a Supervisor and was told that none were available. I asked to have one call me and was told that no outgoing calls were made from that facility. I explained the complete situation to no avail. I then told Steven that if I did not at least hear from a Supervisor today that I would be forced to seek legal remedies. Steven didn't care. He then said that he would work on getting me a credit for the second $187 by the end of the day but that company policy prohibited him from giving a refund on the first $187.

I will be more than happy to join a suit against these people. I will also be filing Fraud charges at my local Police Dept.
