I called vonage on sept. 28.2008 hoping to save money since i am disabled and live on a fixed income. I received my package on oct. 5th for my 30 day free trial. I received my first bill mon oct. 28th billing me for 49.99 i called vonage and asked why my charges were over 24.99 a month charge. They said they charge 99 cents for 411 calls. I told them this was unexceptable and i wanted to speak with a supervisor the sales reps attitued went very sour and his attitued went very sour. He said he would give me vonage for 14.98 a month but my 411 calls would go up to $1.25 i said no and he said well i already disconnected you and charged your card for the month of nov. 39.92 and 103.33 disconncection fee. I told him i had a 30 day free trial and i would send the package back. He said no, your free trial was from the day you signed up. I said that was a fraud how can you have a free trial if i didn't receive the package until a week after i called. He said it was too bad and they already had my money. I asked again for supervisor to resolve this he said there were no supervisors. I told him he was illegally charging my card and he said it was to late and disconnceted me. I called back and this time i spoke to a female sales rep and explained what happened. She said she could help me. When she looked up my account she said well the other sales rep offered you a plan at $14.98 a month and you refused. She said she was sorry but since i refused my account was closed and they already received my money. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she stated again why does it matter we already have your money. I was very angry and told her this is fraud. She stated, maybe it is but we already have your money and we don't do refunds. She then said she would connect me to a supervisor. Well the line she connected me to said. Sorry there is no one here to take your call and was disconnected. What do i do? I already called my bank and they said to file a grievence. Which i have. Is there any help out there for us?
