We have been playing this modification game with Chase since March and it is now November. We did the trial payments, and paid them on time everytime. After all of that we have been told we were not approved and owed the backpay. There only solution was to keep reapplying for the same program instead of offering us options. We did this about 6 times with no real help. We are now being told we owe over $25,000 in backpay and fees! I just went ahead and hired American Residential Law Group to help us fight this battle. We were not behind until Chase told us to temporarilt pay less all these motnhs saying they would help us in the end. They give you a lot of false hope! I have heard good things about ARLG and so far so good. I am hoiping that within a few months they can help us actually get our loan modified. I have heard success stories by many, and am hoping they coem through for us. I would recomend anyone else playing the game with Chase contatc ARLG as well. Chase is not helping anyone they are actually making people get further behind then taking their homes and ruining their credit in the end. I also had a problem everytime I sent them documents I was told they had everything they needed. When I would call back to cheack our status they would say the same thigns were missing that I had sent weeks before and had faxes as proof they were sent. I can not wait to be done with this modification process!
