I never purchased a credit report, but was charged $79.95 on my credit card on 8/3. This was a card that had a zero balance for two years, because I never use it. I found out about the charge when calling to cancel the card, only to find out it now has a new balance. I contacted CIC and their customer service refuses to reverse the charges.
In the meantime, my credit card is suspended. I'm now waiting for the police to arrive at my home, to file a police report, and I have already filed a complaint with the BBB. If anyone can give me some information on how to fight these scam artists, it would be much appreciated.
