BOA wrongful overdraft fees

Bank Of America has caused me more grief than anyone I've ever done business with.

We've had repetitive disputes with them over overdraft fees. They have failed to correctly keep my billing address on file preventing me from doing online business.

Aside from the many occurrences of ridiculous overdraft charges, on one occasion, we made an ATM withdrawal. We had enough funds in our account to make the transaction and later we received notice that particular transaction overdrew our account. After that ATM transaction we made two separate debit purchases, so we received two more overdrafts fees making that three all together for a total of $105 worth of overdraft fees.

According to BOA's logic, a check I wrote to a collection agency that hit the bank earlier than the agency said it would hit, so, thinking we had enough money in the bank, we made the debit transactions. There was no indication at the time of our ATM withdrawal that an overdraft would occur if we made the ATM withdrawal, in fact, the receipt which we didn't keep, did not indicate that we had overdrawn the account. So we went on to make the other two debit purchases. The check I wrote to the collection agency went through that same day and BOA placed the process time of the check IN FRONT of the debit transactions which made so our account lacked funds for the debit transactions, EVEN THOUGH WE HAD MONEY IN THE BANK AT THE TIME OF THE DEBIT TRANSACTIONS.

Another thing that happened with BOA recently was an online purchase from newegg.com falling off my online bank statement for no apparent reason, which made the funds available back on my account. The transaction had completely disappeared from the statement making no indication that a transaction was ever done, days after the transaction was made. I thought the order had been canceled so I withdrew the funds to put on another debit card to try making the purchase with a different card. Later on in the day, the newegg transaction reappeared on my online bank statement, which over drew my account because I withdrew the funds I made for the original purchase, which incurred a $35 dollar overdraft fee.

At the same time the newegg transaction disappeared and reappeared, they moved my monthly automatic AT&T transaction up to the seventh even though it took place on the sixth, which over drew my account on top of the overdraft that took place with the newegg transaction. Only a $35 overdraft fee was charged for both occurrences, but I wouldn't be surprised one bit if another fee will occur.

I just closed my account today after paying the overdraft fee for the faulty newegg transaction and bringing my balance up to $0. The prissy little banker I talked to about all this talked to me as if it was all my fault, claiming to be "sorry" this happened to me.
