The @%@#$%#%#'s did it again. I finally got my account straightened out and had been carrying a decent balance. Recently, I drew my account close to zero and neglected to tell my husband. He used my account for a couple of transactions causing it to overdraft. After two days of the account being in overdraft status, BofA allowed yet another debit card transaction to go through!!! Then charged me for it!!! This was not a transaction that had been pending from before, it was a transaction that was made yesterday. My husband didn't know my account was overdrawn, so he used my card.
BofA claims they were doing me a 'service' by allowing the transaction to go through. EXCUSE ME?!!! A 'service' that comes with a $33 price tag when the transaction should have been declines in the first place?! Then customer service throws the blame on me saying that it's no different than kiting checks!!! This is so ridiculous!!! Sorry to point this out, folks, but in this day and age of instant information, you can't claim that you didn't know my account was overdrawn!!! You allowed the debit to go through, so you could charge me for it!!!
