Bought a mattress at "Denver Mattress" store. Financed it through HSBC Finance Corp at 0% APR for 24 mos same as cash. I set up an account online to avoid paying "processing fees" if calling or mailing the payment. Let me add it required me to re-enter info to verify correct email, acct #, and bank acct #.
I make my first online payment and thought nothing of it. A month later I go online to make the next payment and see that I did not receive credit for the first payment and have check return fee and late fee added.
I call HSBC asking why they did not process my payment, they stated I did not enter the correct bank acct # and could not process payment. I told them it requires re-entering and made sure it was correct. I demanded they remove the fees; they refused. I told them to close the account and will be returning the mattress. I still owe $400 due to returning it after 30 days.
I googled this company and have found many people complaining of their practices. Beware of this company. I will file a complaint through BBB.
