We were the victim of a scam and fraud;a male callled to say he was from the Adam's County Attorney's office in our hometown, and there was an arrest warrant out for my husband for contempt of court due to a hearing he failed to appear at; lawsuit was from Citibank. He had us call an attorney: Jacob Maier and Harmon, 515 S. Flower Street, Los Angeles, CA at 213-596-9295. These attorneys agreed to settle an account with Citibank for $5003.09, but said the original account was for $8417. Mailed the check out of my personal account. They cashed the check. It took several calls to get a release for this. We have recently found out: we checked our credit report and did not owe a debt to Citibank, there was no arrest warrant out per Sheriff's office, the release is not a court document, this attorney's do not answer their phone; can't get our money back from these attorney. Please do not send any money to these attorneys: Jacob Maier and Harmon, 515 S. Flower Street, Los Angeles, CA at 213-596-9295 as it's a scam. We wil continue to attempt to recover our money.
