Ripoff

I am reporting a rip off from consumer preffered. I received a letter from this company last month on 05-10-03, saying that i was approved for 5,000 dollars credit card i called the company and they assured me that if i make a $45.00 application fee i would receive an application packet and my credit card within one week, i sent the a check for $45.00 on 13-10-03 i waited for two weeks they sent me nothing i called the company they told me that they were waiting for my check to be cleared, since then no one answers the pnone and when they answer and i give them my name they disconnect the line.
