Northland Group - Palisades Collection ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing which screws up a persons credit and way of life. How can a company do that?

I received a bill from Northland Group, Inc. Saying I owed the creditor Palisades collection $11,812.73. I don't even know who they are. I think I would know if I owe someone that much money.

How can a company do that?
