I withdrew money from my checking account at the end of May to pay my electric bill in person at Woodforest and the cashier never told me that they were going to start charging almost six dollars a month if your account went under one hundred dollars. They proceeded to take out $5.95 on June 7th effectively putting my checking account into negative territory. I called and spoke to someone at the bank and they stated to me that they had started the almost six dollars out of a client's account if they have less than one hundred in the account on June 5th. She also said I should have received something in the mail about it on the 6th. Its a little late to be sending this out after they've already overdrawn my account. I'm in the process of switching banks and as soon as my direct deposit clears into the other bank I'll shut down my Woodforest account. Woodforest has permanently lost my business.
