About 17 months ago I was fired from my job and was forced to survive on unemployment and the occasional odd work. After several months I fell behind on my mortgage I had gone from making 4800 a month to 1300 very hard to make ends meet. The make homes affordable program was anounce and I thought maybe I finaly had a chance to save my house. I was with out perminate employment for a year. I had gotten very far behind on my home loan and had to wait 6 months after submitting paper work before anyone even looked at my assistance request. Then all of my information was out of date and started the over a year long roller coaster of forms letters pay stubs and BS. I have sent this company enough paper work to fill a couple of house. Just before Christmas I was told by a representative of BA home loans that I was granted a forbearance and that I would more than likely be getting the assitance I so desprately needed to save my home. I was finaly sent a package with the forms and instructions that would finaly get me the assistance I needed or so I thought. I filled out everything and supplied all the documates requested by BA homeloans by the date it was due and awaited the good news I was expecting.instead I recieved a letter denying my request for assistance stating I had not sent the documates in the time alloted. I called and talked to a representative of BA home loans and was told they never recieved my packet. So this whole long drawn out nightmare started over again. I personaly believe BA home loans is purposely prolonging assistance to home owners like me. During all of this we had sent some paper work they requested in the envalope with 4 paymets (most of our income tax return) odly enogh they recieved the payments but not our paper work I guess I need to get to the pointe. When this whole process started I qualifyed for the make homes affordable program now that Bank of America has drug this out for so long as I'm sure they have done to so many I now make to much money to qualify. I have been catching my note up without help and with assurances from BA homeloans that if I continue to do so it would look good for getting help. Which is great except again they (LIE!) now they are not excepting my payments and my house is in forcloseure. I went from 8 notes behind to about 2 or 3 but in order to save my home I will have to come up with the remaining in a lump sum plus attourneys fees. I don't live an extravigant life style by any means and have been struggling to get caught up how am I suppose to come up with all that money. What program helps people who have stuck it out even though they should have already recieved the help promised by our government and finacial instatutions. What help is there now that I am making money again to much for help but not enogh to catch up. Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.
