The same thing happened to me that has happened to the other victims of Ameristar on this site. After I sent in all my documents, they charged my credit card $1295 and did nothing to modify my loan and kept telling me everything was fine and it was a long process and to be patient.
They only called my lender 3 times in 5 months to ask silly questions and NEVER started the mod process with the lender. After 5 months of "working" with Ameristar who instructed me in the contract to NOT contact my lender or respond to any of their correspondance, I had a trustee sale notice taped to my door!
I am now working directly with my lender... Don't be duped... Do it yourself. I have filed a small claims suit against Ameristar. I will post updates.
