Almost lost my house because of this guy

At first communication was really good. I sent the info they wanted and after a while was working with another person, I was then sent to yet another person who wanted me to submit my information again, so I did. Communication was good for a while still, though I would always have to pursue it. How is my file going, any updates, etc. I have emails stringing out for a year asking the same question over and over. How is my file doing? Any updates? I would call and usually get a call back, then something happened. I was transferred to yet another person who was supposed to be working on my file. She emailed me a document in March asking for my signature. I complied and immediately sent it back. I got no response to my emails after that. This whole situation had been going on for nearly a year by now and I was getting worried. More so because I was not getting any answers to my emails. No one would answer a phone down there even when I pretended to be a new customer and left a message to be called back. Bill Ray said a message had been left with my son, who is 9 years old and NOT a reliable person to leave messages with. There were no messages on my answering machine-I get those. I told them that if they leave messages with my children I would not get them, they are after all, children. On the other hand, My children are not allowed to answer the phone unless the recognize the number on the caller ID because they are unreliable messengers. I have asked both of my sons if they ever had a message left by Ameristar Foreclosures. Both of them said no that they had never heard of them. I panicked and called 9 times trying to get someone to answer to no avail. Emails after emails. It was not until I finally threw a tantrum via email and sent it to every email address I had from Ameristar that I got a response. Evidently, the last person I was working with went on maternity leave. No one told me or bothered to transfer my case to another worker. Evidently I was just supposed to sit and wonder about it for 3 months while she was out. Bill took on my file and requested my information AGAIN! I told him I had submitted it before and why on earth do I have to submit it yet again? No answer. None. I started talking to my husband about it. Should we trust him and move forward or should we call the bank. Bill said it would be detrimental to my file if I called the bank. We negotiated this for a couple of weeks and I, once again started gathering all the information thinking we would try one more time, though I was worried. I got the letter that my house would go up for sale and I was furious. I tried to call over and over, left messages. Nothing. I emailed and told Ameristar about the letter and the sale date and told then no matter what they said, I was going to the bank to see if there is any hope in saving my house. I told them I wanted my money back. Bill Ray then started arguing with me about how I was non compliant by not sending the information he requested the last time (the third time I might add), I had sent him the wrong information time and again (don't you think I would have been told WHEN there was communication the first 2 times?) he says that I am non compliant and he is still willing to conclude my file, but if he has no information on his desk by Monday he will shred my file. I called my bank. They told me they they had the same conversation over and over with Ameristar about my file and that they are unable to even get me qualified for a Loan modification without ME talking to the bank. Please note, Ameristar told me NOT to contact the bank and I have emails to prove it. For a year the bank thought I was simply ignoring collections and now my house is going on the block. All I want from Ameristar is my money back. Before I got tangled up with Ameristar I was working with US Mitigators for the same thing. They went bankrupt on me and I lost all my money with them. I went to Ameristar and was assured and promised that they were a legitimate business and were, under no circumstances going bankrupt. They said they would help me. They lied. Thank GOD the bank is willing to work with me and I should get my loan modified without Ameristar before my sale date even AND I should add they are doing it with the same information that I had sent Ameristar in the first place, that Ameristar had forwarded to the bank a year ago—the same information Bill Ray said was incorrect. My advice, work with your bank not with a mitigator. I have been screwed by 2 in a row and I intend to expose this one and get my money back. BBB people. If I can't afford to sue I will make sure everyone knows my story. Ameristar will not help you. If I get my money back, I will let you know.
