Providian sold my account to Finanical Recovery Inc. I revieved a letter from Finanical Recovery Inc. Stating that Providian offers me a chance to by pay 50% of the 741.88 I owed and the debt would be satisfied in full and I would be released of all liability related to this account. I recieved this letter on Oct. 10,01. On that day 371.00 was sent to Providian which is 50%. On March 02 we recieved a letter from Financial that we have a zero balance with Providian.
As of July 03 Providian still says we owe another 371.00 dollars and they will not take a look at the paperwork I have saying a zero balance or have they have taken it off my credit report. I am having an extreme amount of trouble of getting to the right area of Providian to even try to get this straightened out. Providian is not listening to me or willing to look at the paperwork I have stating I have a zero balance.
