"Americas Most Convenient Bank"? For who? Not for the customer, not anymore. Like an old friend betraying your trust, TD has found a way to justify the order of their postings for their CONVENIENCE

TD BANKS NEW APPROACH TO CUSTOMER SERVICE
(we are no longer Commerce bank... Shhh)
* The customer is not always right, do your best to explain why we are right, even if our record of transactions does not exactly jive with what our online banking displays.
— my available balance on-line differed by $240 from what TD showed on their internal system 3 days later. What's going on? Result... $175 in overdraft fees!
* If the customer is confused by what they see on their on-line banking page, just tell them that its 'not really accurate', and that they need to keep track manually with a register. We must re-educate them.
— The customer service rep advised me to put all of my debit/visa receipts in an envelope and to write down and deduct each amount from my balance on the front.
* If the customer does not understand why a debit charge can be authorized from a negative account balance, tell them to read the small print in the new policy and procedure booklet that was sent out by mail. Explain that the old policies were changed and they need to 'opt out' if they disagree.
—I think I will opt out and switch banks while i'm at it!
* If they ask you to cut them a break because they feel that you are ripping them off, just tell them, 'sorry, can't help you.'
— My account never showed a negative balance until they withdrew 5 overdraft fees. A hamburger ended-up costing me $40!
* Lastly, always, always say thank you for being a loyal TD Bank customer. And be sure to tell them to have a nice day.
& This part they still got right, they should, after all I have been a loyal customer for more than a decade. Goodbye TD Bank, If I can't find a better bank, I'll have to just stuff my money under the matress. (what little I have left...)!!!
