Advice: Call at least twice. Called first time 6/5/03 or 6/6/03 to cancel initially after AMEX would not help out. Told lady I wanted account canceled. I found out a few days later that semantics can be killer.
Called today (6/9/03) to confirm cancellation. Young lady answered. Gave her all security info same as before, but she told me the account was merely set not to renew. I asked her to please completely cancel the account and give me a refund. She said to wait 7 to 10 days for a credit on my card. Also, mentioned a confirmation e-mail.
