Ripoff outlandish ripoff late fees false promises consumer fraud ripoff

I had an excellant credit history with providian mc, but when they claimed bankruptcy, they sold my account to emerge mc and as a result my percentage and late fees complied to over one thousand dollars. I know my account was less then that.

Emerge says they will issue a new card when my account has zero balances. They have been calling at night at supper on weekends with no reguard to privacy, harrassing me to death. They also do not read the account arrangements made by one specified employee, numbered etc. I am afraid that if I don't pay them my credit history will cause me to lose any chances to refinnace my just bought home.

So I keep paying should I not pay? What can they do if I don't agree with their cheating ways?
