I was looking at my checking account (overdrawn) and saw a check with a number out of sequence that I did not write. BofA online banking allowed me to actually view a scanned copy of the check. It was to a Freedom Subscriptions (FreedomCS.com) and had some signature on it that was most evidentally NOT mine. I quickly shot the bank a message and then looked them up.
Right here there were multiple entries detailing the exact same thing I am going through. I contacted them through their live person chat and they told me that I had agreed to it through a third party when applying for a loan and that I had 7 days from that date to cancel my trial membership.
Needless to say, they cancelled the membership after I let them know that I would be speaking with the authorities about the signed check. They will not take responsibility for the NSF fees.
They said that I had signed the check using a mouse signature. I ask for the third party name and they were not able to provide it. I asked for copies of the agreement and the "mouse signture" and they were not able to provide them - they said they can't tell where the orders come from.
My advice to avoid this is to NEVER sign anything with a mouse and to never submit anything that is not 100% clear.
