I when I got home yesterday 8/5/09 there was a post-it note on my door from an Agent Marcy who was trying to deliver a summons. Agent Marcy's phone number, 443.676.8343 was marked on the post-it.
I went to my mailbox and found a letter from Franklin Debt Solutions saying that a lawsuit had been filed against me, #080400239122009 in District Court of MD by Asset Acceptance LLC for a credit card I had through Providian/WAMU. I haven't used this card since but was making payments up until 6/08. I fully plan on paying off the debt and have offered to pay them $100.00 a month which they rejected. Who do I contact about this? I do not want to contact Asset Acceptance, I have read alot about them and their illegal ways. Were do I go to find out if this is a true case? T
