I have a small company and rely heavy on my bank to help me with all alerts, deposits credit cards savings and all other banking activities.in July My daughter brought to my attention that I wrote a check that was written in spanish I told the bank and found that several other checks were written and not by me and this had been going on for months. My branch manager assured me that all bad checks would be covered and I would get my money after I filed a police report which I did.
I retuned to the bank and the manager pulled me aside and said that they wouldnt refund my money all but only the past bank statment. This was a complete surprise and when I aked her why she changed her mind she said 9 yrs prior I was given a small phamplet saying that banks only have to cover fraud for 30 days. I have been a very good client of the bank and reported this this to the Ca. Bank board and they said it wasnt right and thy couldnt by law help me. I was out thousands of dollars and still havent gotten my money back. Ive tried to e-mail the C.E.O. And he has his others tell me the bad news. I feel that others need to be warned to check with ther banks on fraud and never bank at River City Bank.
