When I went to order some checks at my local Bank of America location, I was told that they were going to be free since I had never received some when I opened my account. A few days after I received the checks, I got a $22.95 charge that sent my checking account into 3 overdrafts. I was able to get them to return the $22.95 check fee, but they will not reverse the overdrafts charges. They said "the check fee never should have been reversed because the checks shouldn't have been free". Why should I be held accountable for their employees mistakes?
