Bank of America's overdraft fees suck. I understand why they are there but (as like others before me have written) when I checked my bank account I had plenty of money in there and NO PENDING items. Low and behold the next day two checks cleared that were not pending and because they take highest to lowest we got dinged with three overdraft fees.
If they did them in ORDER of RECIEVING I would have only been hit with one. Which I think is acceptable. Then the overdraft fees made me go below and then I got hit with three more fees because I only transfered enough to cover the bills and checks I knew were coming. When I talked to BOA the first time they assured me that I would not get overdrafts for the overdrafts. But here I sit with SIX over drafts fees of 35 that is $210. I CANNOT AFFORD!!!
Then on top of that they wanted to sign me up for OVER DRAFT PROTECTION that I KNOW I had in place at one time. They keep changing my account types. A few months back I had $20 (3 of them = $60) maintenace fees that based on my account types I shouldn't have. Even though the fees went back 3 months AND it was their fault they said they could only reimburse me $40 of the 60! What crap
Time to look for a new bank.
