I filed a complaint through the Better Business Bureau about an illegally reaged debt I discovered on our credit report. Here is the ridiculous response I got:
"The company would like to states that they are not nor have they ever reported any false information. The company also states that it is the policy of the company to furnish info to the consumer reporting agencies pursuant to the Metro II guidelines. The company states that if the consumer has anything to the contrary the company is asking that they provide a copy of their credit report, so they may assist them further."
Send a copy of my credit report??? You can't be serious!
I replied with a request for validation materials to which I received the exact same response word for word...
I have already reported the initial discovery to the state Attorney General and the FTC. I'm going to be contacting all 3 major CRAs with a copy of this garbage.
