I have been a Citi card holder for many years. I never missed a payment and always paid more than the minimum payment, but that is not enough! I was recently informed that my 5.99% rate would now be 19.99%!!! Just because!!!
To add insult to injury, I can't pay off the higher interest rate first. They can determine what portion of my balance is 4x higher, but I can't determine which portion I want to pay off first!!!
I should have gone to the Gambino family instead. They break your leg for missing a payment, but at least you can choose to pay first!!! It's not just a broken finger for this amount and a leg for that amount. It's the same across the board.
It's about time for the law to step up and straighten out these plastic loan sharks!!
