I made a mistake or two. I kept the Bank of America credit card when my bank merged with them (mistake 1), I let the credit limit get beyond a reasonable level (mistake 2), and I DIDN'T GET RID OF THEM FAST ENOUGH! I have made one smart move... I have destroyed the credit card and I do not use the account any more. Yes, I know that there are other snakes like Capital One who would have financed a new car for me at 25% interest for 72 months. There is a difference in buying a new car and commiting suicide! I politely declined the offer. Get rid of them too while you are at it!
I thought that they wanted an extremely (relative) low minimum payment last month. My record shows that I try to pay a little more than the minimum each month.
