This is one of the worst mail solicitations I have ever received. The letter uses bold letters for the words Pre-Approved, Platinum Card, Guaranteed $10,000 credit limit, 5% APR Interest Rate, Visa, MasterCard, Limited time offer, etc. Careful reading discloses the fact that the card is only for purchases from Union Workers Credit Services. Nothing about this is straight-forward. It has nothing to do with union membership, and is really more like a merchant credit line. The $37 annual membership fee is due by a certain date; THEN, they will send the full details with your card. There is a 60-day refund offered BUT the fine print says you need to make a purchase first. Absolutely awful. I can't believe companies are allowed to send out junk like this.
