We refinanced out home threw one of these companies on tv that claim to make your life so much better as they are really selling you a mountain of debt. Our loan was then sold to none other than Fairbanks Capital.
To Make a real long story short we had several occasions where they claimed we were months behind and even after sending copies of my checks eventually money orders I was instructed to pay with they said I would lose my home if I did not pay. So we paid, literally thousands of dollars several times over and over.
So after battling these jerks on the phone and them calling several times a day, nearly causing me a divorce to say the least (the only one doing any phucking was them, let me tell ya) they started to foreclose on our house. OS now our good credit was screwed up because of all the late payments they had claimed and reported to the credit bureau, we had no hope of finding a lender to bail us out.
Luckily, my father signed with us at our local bank and we did manage to get out from under these idiots in June. Even after the bank sent Fairbanks the payoff it took over 3 months to get everything finalized and over with. What a joke they are.
It is not at funny though because they have wrecked so many peoples lives, I can tell you first hand the stress between my wife and I during all this, Not to mention these assholes talked to my 7 year old son and told him he was going to be sleeping out in the street if daddy didnt get back with them.
So here I am months later seeking to get them by the balls and make them pay for all the harm they have done.
To show you how stupid there help is i called today just to see what would happen, this is good: I ask the name af the person I am speaking with, keep in mind they no longer hold the note for my house as of june this year, I could only get a first name and no extension to reach this lady back at, so I ask for a manager, I get some executive response unit (what the hell is that anyway?) and I do get a name but no extensions are used at this internationally recognized company, imagine that, so I admitt I fabricated a story to see what they would say, I said that my loan was paid in full back in june and that my attorney has informed me that i was overcharged by $15,000.
They put me on hold for about 30 minuetes and finally the guy tells me that the reason my attorney said that was there are legal fees and they were valid cause my account was past due at the time. GET REAL!
How un professional can you be, I think Al Capone would have explained himself better than that. Anyone who has information on a class action suite or a attorney that want to prosecute this case let me know.
Oh yea, they also still have a bankruptcy reported on my credit report that we never filed, like that should be a big surprise.
I am glad I live far away from Utah or I may have went to jail for hurting somebody there.
