I was aware of the higher fee for cash advance, i have never taken one out: seeing them as not a good move for anyone. I almost always pay my credit cards off in full each and every month. I can count on one hand the number of times I have not, and then I paid the balance in full the next month asap usually within a few weeks. I had a cash emergency and needed a small loan but, for only a few days, so I made the mistake of a cash advance... Never again. Is it just BOA, or is it normal to charge a 3% transaction fee along with the higher interest rate for cash advances? I saw readily the interest rate, but saw no where the additional transaction fee. I am sure that it is somewhere, but I thought it would be more then fair to add this "fee" to the same line as the one that informs you about the interest rate for cash advances. People such as myself have no problem with ligit fees as long as they are ones that are displayed in such a way that easily catch if you looking for the information, not buried in long page (s) of terms and conditions.
