Recently, I shipped a pair of shoes to a buyer with full tracking information. The buyer stated that she received the package with empty contents. I called HER local postal office to inquire about the package which showed that the item had been fully shipped and spoke to a man. The man at the post office stated that they were not aware of any damaged or lost goods relating to her address and tracking number. The buyer filed a claim stating that the goods were "not as described". The buyer won the case. According to seller protection policy, the item was covered as I shipped to her confirmed address etc. Yet paypal reversed the payment. I have since filed HER DEBT with a collection agency... Any one of us can do this for FREE. They will not charge unless they collect! It can be done online. I think that if all of us take this type of action, we can limit and reduce the amount of fraudulent chargebacks. Perhaps place a disclaimer in your ebay auction listing of the consequences of paypal buyer complaints when they do not return the goods. Another option if I cant recover my money from the buyer is to file a debt collection for PAYPAL. Yes we can do this too! They are not the only ones who have this mechanism available to them. What they can do we can do. So lets ban together to reduce fraud. Tell me what you think.
