My experience with Quicken Loans has been a waste of time and so far money. I thought they were a reputable company - I wish I had researched them a little better before proceeding with a loan approval attempt. Here is what I wrote to the company and so far there has been no return answer.

I was dealing with a Jeff Morgan with your company since April 24. I was told I had a loan with you guys and have even given you a deposit of $350.00 of which you promptly took from my bank account via Debit card on May 22nd 2008. On June 2nd 2008 I was informed that because I didn't have enough "open lines" of credit you could not give me a loan. I am contacting you to get my deposit back NOW!

First of all I was told this was for "earnest money" of which when I confronted Jeff Morgan as to why he took "earnest money" from me without the loan actually being accepted he then claimed it wasn't "earnest money" but a deposit on the loan. I have spoken to 2 other loan companies in the last couple days and have been informed this is not normal practice for ANY home loan. I have also been told that there may have been some "less than ethical" procedures on the part of your company and perhaps I should look into what people have to say about the way your company operates. I don't know if you have ever taken the time to check into consumer reports but now I have and am finding there a lot of people out there that have had similar experiences with your company that to this day have not gotten their money back.

Your company obviously had a copy of my credit on April 24th when I first asked for a home loan yet you ran it again on May 22nd I very much would like to know how and why this wasn't noticed by your company from the very beginning.instead you dragged me thru inspecting every financial aspect of my life just to tell me "I don't have enough revolving credit". You did not wait to take the money from me and I should not have to wait to get my money back.

I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau if my money is not returned to my bank account by Monday June 9th.

I am hoping this will help me recover my money!
