Met Life does not pay neither does New England Financial.
In August I cashed in my investment and they said a check was mailed. My investment was terminated, but my check was never mailed.in November I was told this was corrected. Yet again, a check was never mailed and my investment was still terminated.
In January I received a 1099 for taxes that were withheld, but still I have no check. After more phone calls, I am told the 1099 for 2007 can not be corrected even though it was their mistake. I was told that my original check would be reissued (months later and without interest), less the taxes I already paid for 2007. They told me and a witness that my check would be sent out FedExat our request. I received a phone call on April 24 with the Fed Ex tracking number saying my check was sent the day before and I would be receiving it that day.
Now it is April 28 and we called Fed Ex with the tracking number. Fed Ex says that a label was printed, addressed to me with the tracking number I gave them, but no package was ever sent. They still have my money. This is how this company does business. Buyer beware, what a nightmare!!
