I opened my statement this morning and noticed Wachovia had charged me a $2 service charge. I have free checking so I called to speak to the representative and was told that I was charged because I called more than twice in a statement cycle.
I could not believe this! I was charged to speak to a human being. I called four times related to fraudlent activity on my account and a bank error with the check card and was charged for calling.
While I know it is only $2, that has to be the poorest customer service practice ever invented. To charge to speak to a human being is absolutely ridiculous and the lowest profit tactic ever!
