I first recieved an unauthorized charge of $31.98 on my checking account on May 21st. The charge was made by IDcustserv.com. I called my bank and they said to call them because it was their responsibility to refund the erroneous overdraft charges. So I call, and apparently you cannot speak to a human being, they give me a website to go to (idcustserv.com) and right on the site it says if you have a an unauthorized charge on your checking account to "click here".
Well, I "click here" and it gives you the option to type in your account information again and cancel, or speak to a live representative. I try to speak to a live representative, but find I can't because the link does not work. So I reluctantly type in my account info again, and after several little nag screens offering you ID protection service (which is just an excuse to drain money out of your account, I've found.) you finally get to cancel!
So you think.
On June 4th, and June 11th. I get two more overdraft charges for no reason. I call my bank, and they tell me this time the charges were made by pdcustserv.com which I can only assume is idcustserv.com in disguise and give me a number to call. You couldn't speak to a human being here either, only a fax machine which wailed in my ear rather loudly.
So I get on the website and try and get my membership cancelled, then, I click on the link to speak to a represenatative, and this time it works, and the representative I get argues me up and down that it is not their job to refund overdraft charges, and they cannot see where my account was charged, etc. Etc. I'm sorry, but I'm more inclined to believe my bank when it comes to the refunding of overdraft charges.
All I can say is, I better not be charged again. Three overdraft charges? Because of them?! How awful!
