I had rec'd a credit card from capital one with a 300.00 which was great as I was trying to get my credit up. When you first get the card they put free credit reports & magazines on to try & after the 30 days if you don't want them you can call & tell them you don't want them & you wont' be charged there after.
BIG DARN joke, not only did I constantly get a run around from capital one telling me I had to contact the free credit report people seperately & the mag. Sep. They couldn't help me. No if you can picture these following steps done 8-9 times you can possibly start to see my frustrations, I did in fact call the numbers given to me to cancel the services I did not want but they kept charging me for them, hence going over my credit limit, I went through this so so so so so many times & got no where, capital one basically said "not thier problem" I got from the free credit people that were charging the card on a reg. Basis " O yes it will be taken off" nothing, now of course month after month the fees are stacking up & I'm so very upset, I have a heart problem & I tell ya this aggravation that this company has put me through definately DID NOT HELP.
That it being in a nut shell, I had a credit limit of 300.00 which I concure I owed however anything after that I got no help at all & my records can show that. I lost track on what they were up to & put me in collections. I've explained to them also, I'm on disability & only get a certain amt. Each month but I had made every effor to make arragements on what I owe, after that the problems they didn't help with or were always telling me "they would take the charges off" never happenend or they would say "pay the over amount & they'll credit me", the mistakes & lack of help I rec'd from both capital one & the companies that kept charging for the services (mind you I never even got the services) this just spiraled out of control.
I've made numerous attempts to work with them but the arrogance & deceit I've endured with this company has literally discussed me. I can go on & on but I'll end it here. I got no help from capital one & no help from the vendors they use when they "offer" the card in the begining of the starting of the card. I don't know if or how many other people have had problems with this company but I'm so discusted with how everyone involved just " DIDN'T CARE". Thank you for your time.
