PNC Bank
PNC A ripoff business

I enrolled in PNC Online Bill Payment Service on September 6. I followed their instructions and set up accounts to be paid every two weeks on my payday beginning September 13th.

The first payments were due to be paid on the 13th of September. Again, these payments were scheduled for every two weeks starting with the 13th of September.

PNC paid these accounts (12 in all, each with a payment of 10.00) on September 9!!! There was about $16.00 in my checking account at the time PNC decided to pay these account (4) days early, overdrawing my account by $330.00!!!

When I spoke with the Rep (Jamie), she explained that PNC paid (1) of the ten dollar payments and the other$330.00 were (11) NFS charges of $30.00 each for the other (11) accounts PNC tried to pay.

Does this make sense too You??? PNC will draw money from your account despite whatever the balance is, then hit you with a NSF charge of $30.00 EVERYTIME they do it.

Why would a company who is supposed to be providing a service for the benefit of their customers, take advantage of them as well. (Jamie), the PNC rep told me that when you set a date on the bill pay system, the payment is always paid by PNC (4) days in advance of your stated date. Well where was that located in the direction??? After speaking to her Supervisor, he told me to go into the system and change the dates to add the addition (4) days for processing the payment. Well, what about the $330.00? They said they could not do anything about it. I asked them to close my account AND THEY SAID NO!!!

PNC has a rule that an account with a negative status can not be closed, if the account is set on a DIRECT DEPOSIT. See if PNC looks at your account and you have direct deposit, they know you have no choice but to pay the negative balance. THIS IS HOW THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY!!! And that's exactly what happened. Two days later, my paycheck on direct deposit went into my account and they took yheir $330.00 of NFS charges OFF THE TOP!!!

Now remember, the accounts were set up to coincide with my payday. So on top of PNC taking the $330.00 from my payroll deposit, they hit my account with the next wave of payments (12) now consuming the rest of my paycheck and putting my account back into a negative amount of $590.00, ALL NFS CHARGES @ $30.00

I have spoke with just about everyone from the Bill Pay Service Department from Reps to the Supervisors, to the director of Customer Relations. Their bottom line, PNC closed my bill pay service account and told me to make a deposit of $590.00 and they'll close my checking account. Does this sound like a solution to you??? So my checking account is still a negative $590.00 and because PNC refuses to close an account with direct deposit, my next paycheck will be eaten up too.

This is just another BIG Corporation that thinks it can get away with treating thier"customers" any kind of way. PNC will take your money by charging NFS Fees even when they know the money is not in your account. This is how they got to be BIG, off of the little guys money.

MY suggestion, stick to the community bank or Credit Unions.
