Branch Banking & Trust
OverDraft Scam

Hello and welcome. First off lets just say I'm just another BB&T victim.
I have been with BB&T for about 1 year now. I opened my account when i first turned 18.

My checking account was great for the first 2 weeks until i never received my checks. I drove to the bank to see how munch longer it would take before they came. The teller told me she would kindly order another package for me. I was happy. Again another 2 weeks went on and still no checks.

Again i went to the bank to ask if they could find out what had happened to them.
The same teller had no answers for me. She again submitted another request for the checks. Finally a week later my checks arrived.

At this point in time every thing was good. I had my checks and I had $60.00 in my account all was well. A few months passed and i had made a mistake on my cell phone bill resulting in an overdraft fee of $35.00 which i payed the following day since it was my fault.

This is where it all started! Lets get right to the point for any of you who may have a BB&T account still active. Close it ASAP or you will owe hundreds in no time. I have read dozens of reports and have studied my own experiences to conclude many interesting facts you may want to know.

Lets start off with my favorite thing about BB&T (keep in mind that i was being sarcastic) The online banking is a high way to hell. Being that the only numbers you'll ever see on your statement's are RED. This online banking experience is torture because never once do they show you your balance throughout your transactions. You'll only be left playing mindless guessing games. Lets not forget the systems they use must be older then me.

My other favorite thing about BB&T is that they always charge me an overdraft fee even when i have more then enough money in my account. I get payed weekly so every Tuesday my (direct deposit) goes in at about 2-3am.
I had to pay some bills like average people do. I got payed about $260.00 that week and payed all my bills of $245.00 so i still had some money left. Well i looked that night online and seen that everything went through just fine.

Well 4 days went by and i looked on my account and seen -$490.00
Then when i seen that i had to take a quick trip to the bathroom to clean out my underwear from my shock LOL. Then after that i made my way back to my laptop to play BB&T's famous guessing game. It seems that they had some kinda lock on my account that prevented me from paying my bills. Yet all my bills where payed. My cell phone was payed and my credit card was payed. I don't really understand how they lock your account but yet pay your bills and then charge that overdraft fee for each bill you pay.

Lets move on to the best part of all. Thats right people i saved the best for last!!! Being that i do have direct deposit it seems that i wont be able to get my check without paying the total amount due (-490.00) Keeping in mind i only make $260.00 a week. That means in 3 weeks i will finally get a pay check again. Just how will i pay my other bills 3 weeks from now When they are due now?

Also keeping in mind that for the rest of my life for every pay check that is direct deposited into my account i will have to call the bank to be sure that they haven't put some kinda lock onto my account. The fact is even if they say everything ok we all know that it's just going to happen again.

In Conclusion I would prefer being robbed in a parking lot over being with BB&T because at least after I'm robbed i can call the cops! With BB&T they can take all your money and you cant do anything at all. It's these exact reasons why people my age (18) don't wanna work or do anything because we just get robbed by our government and banks etc. BB&T has caused me to be behind on my bills which will cause late payment fees YEY!!! Look out life here i come!

I wanna thank you all for reading my half a* report about my favorite bank.
