Quicken Loans will require you to sign a deposit agreement first thing. Read the paperwork. If you decide not to go through with the loan for any reason, they will still charge your credit card immediately after you sign. I cancelled within 2 days of signing, deciding that I wanted to wait for rates to go down and would contact them later. They called and called.
Don't sign anything with them if youre not "sure" youre going to go through with the loan, you will lose your $500 deposit. For 10 pages emailed me and a credit report, I'm being charged $500.00! I will now, not do business with them now or in the future when I do decide to re-finance my home equity loan. I would not recommend them.
It should be illegal to grab $500 off someone's credit card for doing very little. If I had done the appraisal, I might see where the appraisal would have to be paid for, or a small doc fee, but not $500 worth!
Be careful if doing business with Quicken, they will get you from the get go!
